Here’s what’s been happening at eSkillz Games in September 2022: –
Overview
September has been the most exciting month for eSkillz Games to date, culminating in the launch of the Pool Public Beta, an event both terrifying and exhilarating! The general feeling is that while the markets are subdued, we will continue to focus on building, which means that the dates for the initial token sale and first NFT mint are being re-evaluated. We still plan on doing both this year though.
Development
– After a last minute problem we released the public beta for eSkillz Pool, via soft launch, on the 23rd and have seen good usage since. We had to close the beta sign-up when it hit 2500 in 3 days and we will do a mass mail out soon. The beta is available on PC, iOS and Android and we’ve seen a lot of activity on all formats and globally. The most beta players are in Indonesia. The beta comes with practice mode, speed pool, colour pool, combo pool, AI opponents and PvP over the network. All modes except practice offer wagering. As expected we have had a couple of problems, both related to third party software not coping with the huge increase in player numbers but these have since been addressed. We’ve also received a lot of valuable feedback and suggestions.
We plan to run the beta until October 21st and in the coming weeks will offer software updates with new features and pool rooms. At the end of the beta, players will be rewarded with an NFT according to how much XP they’ve grinded.
– The golf game is still in alpha but we are now starting to ramp up development, starting with looking for a new coder.
– We have started work on the Metaverse and currently have indoor and outdoor scenes, with an avatar that can walk around both seamlessly. We’re adding new sports and experiences and beginning to map out the world and the plots.
Beta Test
If you’d like to participate in the beta, please head over to the Discord — discord.gg/QFakuAYFrM and stay tuned for announcements. We’re looking for as more beta testers, on PC, iOS, and Android. The beta test offers the following game modes: –
1] Practice
2] Arcade Mode — including: –
Speed Pool — pot as many balls as possible, in a limited time
Combo — pot as many balls in a row as possible, in a limited time
Colour — Pot each ball in the corresponding coloured pocket, in a limited time
In all Arcade modes, you can wager any amount you wish and have the chance to double your tokens.
3] Multiplayer: –
PvP — challenge another play over the network and set a wager
AI — take on the AI player in a wagered game
Everyone who takes part in the beta will receive a free eSkillz Pool Beta NFT. This will grant you free tokens and extra P&E yield in the released version. There will also be a special competition and tournament with cash prizes to enter.
Team
We’re looking to expand the team with a new game coder and new metaverse coder.
Community
The community is still growing fast and the beta test has seen an engagement spike.
Marketing
We’re now reaching out to bigger influencers, recently we were featured by Metaverse Investor –
Investment
We have signed on the dotted line for our first investment and will start spending some of the money to expand the team and increase marketing soon.
NFT
Our first mint will be players for the pool game. We’re currently re-designing them as we have decided the original 2d pixel art approach wasn’t quite right for our project.
